6 WAYS TO CHILL IN BRISBANE
1. PACK A PICNIC
A cute picnic basket, a box of donuts, a bottle of your favourite 'grape juice' and you'll have the perfect set up for a relaxing catch up with your gal pals.
The girls and I went to New Farm Park which resides next to Brisbane River. It is a beautiful location to just sit back and sip on a drink. I go to Brisbane once a year to visit my Disney sisters so it is the perfect place to catch up after a long time apart!
2. VISIT GOLD COAST & TREAT YOURSELF TO A RESORT STAY
Just a 45 minute drive from Brisbane and you'll find yourself in a new city surrounded by multiple 5 star resorts and golden beaches. Walk along Surfers Paradise until you find a quiet spot and soak in the sun while digging into your favourite book. In the evening, treat yourself to a seafood buffet at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort and enjoy the luxurious setting.
3. SATISFY YOUR TASTEBUDS
Mayfield Patisserie & Chocolates - the best views, with the best hot chocolates.
Nobody likes a rainy day when they are traveling but I suggest to see the silver lining in it as you will get to experience your adventures from a different light! Instead of a gelato, go for a peppermint hot chocolate and warm up that tummy! Mayfield also does the best desserts! One between two is plenty. Satisfy your sweet cravings with your travel companion and enjoy the lookout.
4. VISIT NOOSA BEACH
There are plenty of swimming spots to choose from! If you are a surfer, there are also certain beaches that allow you to catch some waves. Wasn't planning to go swimming that day but look what the waves did! Got a bit too friendly...
5. TRY THE WORLD'S BEST PIZZA
A short drive from Noosa Beach is Mooloolaba. They are well known for Augello's Reistorante, which has the World's Best Pizzas! (Awards to prove it).
Image below is the DUCK SUSHIZZA (voted world's best pizza 2014). The best part is its rice base - not your average pizza crust.

6. ROAD TRIP TO BYRON BAY
The interesting fact about this location is that it is actually on the border of New South Wales. Within 1.5 hours from Brisbane centre, you will enter into a different state (Brisbane is in Queensland to those who are not familiar).
The beach at Byron is nothing but soft sand and clear water. There are also a few hikes nearby which will allow you to view the area from a higher point. Byron Bay is also the MOST EASTERLY POINT of mainland Australia. How's that for a fun fact??
